NYLA Jacket Pattern by Sew Creative Lounge - One pattern sizes S to 3XL
The NYLA Jacket (think New York, Los Angeles) was designed to showcase indigenous prints, and we took the idea and ran with it: Made from Australian Aboriginal fabrics by M&S Textiles Dreamtime Rolls, it is the ideal jacket for those slightly cool autumn and spring days. The HUGE hood makes it very cozy and attractive. Easy to sew, wonderful to wear - what is not to like!
This is a multi-size pattern: all sizes from S to 3 XL are on the same pattern.
Sewing Experience level: Beginner
Fabric Requirements: 2 Dreamtime Rolls (40) or 3 - 4 Dreamtime Rolls (20), 1 yard interfacing for the front, 3 to 3.5 yards lining of your choice.
Our sample jacket size L was made with 3 Dreamtime Rolls (20) in blue, yellow and purple. For the liner, we chose three different fabrics: one for the (huge) hood - 1/2 yard, one for the inner sleeves (3/4 yard), and a third for the inner body (2.25 yards)
Additions: the biggest buttons you can find, self facing belt made from leftover strips
