Kangaroo Dreaming - Spirit of the Bush 2 by Chern'ee Sutton for Kennard & Kennard fabrics
Kangaroo Dreaming is a multi colored design by the Aboriginal artist Chern'ee Sutton, showing kangaroos in their natural environments... make sure you don't miss the lovely human hand prints! The fabric is printed on a soft, high quality 100% cotton substrate that runs 43" wide. It is ideally suited for quilting, home decor, fun garments or other fabric crafts.
Chern'ee says: This fabric design is called Matjumpa Ritjinguthinha in the Kalkadoon language, which means Kangaroo Dreaming and this design tells the story of how the kangaroo got her pouch. Long ago the kangaroo had no pouch and her young had to hop along beside her, there were many dangers and obstacles for the young joeys. One day a fire threatened Matjumpa and her joeys and so she was granted a pouch so they could escape the flames.
