What you see here is the entire 1 yard piece, 42" wide. 100% cotton. Ideal for quilting, art quilts, funky bags and totes, or as decorative pieces on garments of your own making or store bought.

My pieces are generally washed 7 times to get rid of excess dyes. It cannot be excluded that your fabric might still bleed, especially reds. Best bet: set fabric in a bucket with lukewarm water overnight. If water is clear the next morning, you are good. If it's just a teeny bit of color, you are probably good. If it bleeds, stick it in a washer with a table spoon of Synthrapol, two color catchers and wash it as hot as possible. Synthrapol keeps the excess dye particles suspended in the water (they won't resettle on the fabric), and the color catchers do just that: they catch the extra dye, and you throw them out after the wash. Synthrapol is available from Prochemical And Dye or Dharma Trading, or sometimes in local specialty stores.
