The NYLA Jacket is the inspired creation of Sew Creative Lounge, originally designed to highlight African fabrics. We couldn’t resist giving it an Australian Aboriginal makeover! Made from vibrant M&S Textiles Dreamtime Rolls, it’s perfect for those slightly cool autumn or spring days when you want to stay cozy and look fabulous. The HUGE hood adds extra comfort — and plenty of flair.
This beginner-friendly, multi-size pattern (S–3XL) includes clear instructions and lots of room for creativity. This kit includes three Dreamtime (20) rolls of your choice - please give your color choices in the Notes at Checkout, as well as, 3 1/2 yards of liner fabric of your choice. Again, please indicate what fabric your'd like for your liner at the checkout notes.
Finish it off with a self-belt made from leftover strips and the biggest buttons you can find — because a NYLA Jacket deserves personality!
💡 Shop talk: Our sample (size L) uses three Dreamtime Rolls (20) in blue, yellow, and purple. For the lining, we mixed three different fabrics — one for the hood (½ yard), one for the inner sleeves (¾ yard), and one for the inner body (2¼ yards).
