This fun and wonky-looking Queen size quilt will come together in a day, I promise! The secret is the use of the Sharks Teeth fabric from the Kaffe Fasset collection, the wavy design makes straight blocks look wonky, a wonderful optical illusion.

The kit contains:

Two Australian Dreamtime Square 10" precuts (multi, yellow, 40 squares each)
One extra 10" square
three yards Sharks Teeth black fabric (Kaffe Fasset collection)
one yard Bush Tucker red
Cutting and Sewing instructions

By using the 10" precut squares, your cutting time is very short! The blocks are set 9x9, so you need 81 squares for the quilt that winds up measuring just shy of 90"x90". The left over pieces will make another baby size quilt (42"x52"), it's a Two-For-One. AND: you will not have a ton of leftover scraps.

Because of the use of the precuts, shipping is a bit more expensive than usual, sorry! Postage is $10.50.

Great quilt

This makes the most wonderful quilt, so colorful and fun. Everyone who has seen it fell in love. I generally don't make a pattern twice but this one was so fun I'd like to make a second in a different color palette. Beautiful fabrics that were a joy to work with. The kit includes enough fabric to make a baby/lap rail fence type quilt, but I used them in a scrap quilt, which is also fun.

Excellent Fabric & Service

I’ve been collecting Australian aboriginal fabrics whenever I came across them. Then I found Gabriele and Fabrilish - with tons of aboriginal fabrics. The Australian Sharks Teeth Quilt Kit has everything I’ll need to make a unique quilt with aboriginal fabrics. When I talked with Gabi I asked about getting a different color palette for my kit from the one in the photos on the website. Gabi was accommodating and sent beautiful fabrics in blues, greens, purples, and yellows just as I wished. Gabi also recommended a fabric for my quilt backing that is truly beautiful. Looking forward to seeing it completed in the near future so I can buy more fabric from Fabrilish. 😊

Have made several quilts with the Australian fabric in the past and when I saw the pattern for the Australian Sharks Teeth Quilt Pattern/Kit I had to order it.
